Marianne Ramos

Although Marianne has an MBA and 18 years of experience as a managerial and financial accountant, she has spent the past 10 years teaching as a private tutor. Marianne has always valued education. Her teaching method focuses on deepening the students’ understanding of a concept or topic while helping them grow confident in their ability to learn. She teaches her students which study habits compliment their style of learning to make them stronger learners. 

Marianne was drawn to the MDSA Academy because it acknowledges the application of new knowledge gained as an integral part of the learning process and strives to provide each student with a well-rounded educational experience that will provide a strong foundation for their future endeavors. Marianne also supports the MDSA Academy by way of her business acumen gained through formal education and years of experience helping small and midsized businesses implement their mission and vision statements through both cost-efficient and cost-effective methods.

As a homeschool mom, Marianne graduated her two oldest sons who, after studying physics and computer science with a concentration in cyber security at university, became a chemist and a wind turbine technician and inspector. Both are also entrepreneurs and investors building two successful businesses. Marianne is still homeschooling her two youngest children, a high school junior and a 1st grader. Along with the focus on academics, Marianne ensures her children also take part in extracurricular activities as well as academic competitions such as National History Day and the Florida Engineering Society’s Mathcounts competition.

When Marianne isn’t working with business owners or students, she spends time with her husband and four children enjoying movies, the theatre, good food, and being silly and laughing together. An active member of her community, Marianne also leads a pregnancy support group for single women providing practical and emotional support to these young families.
